Yard rescue for Verónica, 86: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Verónica, 86, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 86 and I have lived in this house in Los Angeles for 31 years. After the storm in May, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Take care. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
