Yard rescue for Smit, 77: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Garden rescue day in Durgapur: bring gloves and a rake.
🇮🇳 Durgapur, West Bengal, India1,530 views
I'm 77 and I have lived in this house in Durgapur for 46 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
