Yard rescue for Shu, 84: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Shu, 84, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we are looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 84 and I have lived in this house in Brandon for 31 years. After the storm in October, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of poor eyesight.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending strength, Shu. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Bloemfontein
