Yard rescue for Pieter, 81: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Garden rescue day in Durban: bring gloves and a rake.
🇿🇦 Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa118 views
I'm 81 and I have lived in this house in Durban for 48 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thank you for reading my story.

So sorry you're going through this, Pieter. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Ciudad de México.
