Yard rescue for Mónica, 84: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Mónica, 84, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 84 and I have lived in this house in Xalapa for 35 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending good thoughts. Shared it with a few friends. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.
Good luck, Mónica. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in San Francisco this morning.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from București
