Yard rescue for Dilara, 78: fallen trees and overgrown beds
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Dilara's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 78 and I have lived in this house in Konya for 50 years. After the storm in February, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of poor eyesight.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Konya.
Thanks for sharing this, Dilara. Your post was clear and honest.
Keep going, Dilara. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money!
Hope things get better soon, Dilara. Get well soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Konya.
Good luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Konya.
Rooting for you, Dilara. Shared this with my family. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Hang in there, Dilara. It takes guts to ask. Well done. God bless
