Mysuru
Yamini was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at the Mysuru Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Yamini is 34, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mysuru Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,450 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $75 • Transport to the Mysuru Oncology Institute: $140 • Scans and lab work: $135 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Dinesh
