I coordinate donations at the Unity Mosque in Thane. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Thane, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Unity Mosque on Saturday between 11am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Unity Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thanks for being kind about this.

Keep going, Arjun. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Thane.

    • I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Wish I lived closer to Thrissur so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Raleigh

      • Stay strong, Arjun. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 24 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
