I coordinate donations at Unity Refugee Centre in Taguig. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Taguig, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Unity Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 9am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Unity Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending good thoughts. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
Hang in there, Kathleen. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Good luck, Kathleen. Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
rooting for you, Kathleen. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Taguig.
Rooting for you, Kathleen. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Keep going, Kathleen. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Medellín so I could bring a meal. All the best
Rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope November is when things finally get easier. God bless
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Lahore so I could bring a meal. Love from Colombo
You're not alone. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Half-Way Tree.
Hope it all works out. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Take care!
