I coordinate donations at Liberty Refugee Centre in Mombasa. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Mombasa, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Liberty Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 11am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Liberty Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Glad we found this place.

good luck. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Sent it to 10 people at work. Greetings from Macon!
