I coordinate donations at Baobab Refugee Centre in Jacksonville. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Jacksonville, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Baobab Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 9am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Baobab Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

sending good thoughts, Ángel. This could happen to any of us. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Montréal.
Rooting for you, Ángel. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
Good luck, Ángel. Hope you get there. All the best!
