I coordinate donations at Pioneer Women's Shelter in Madurai. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Madurai, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Pioneer Women's Shelter on Wednesday between 9am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Pioneer Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Best of luck, Geeta. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Madurai
