I coordinate donations at Unity Refugee Centre in Bakersfield. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Bakersfield, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Unity Refugee Centre on Sunday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Unity Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I hope life is good to you.

  • Hope things get better soon, Mariana. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Gangnam this morning. God bless

    • Good luck, Mariana. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
