I coordinate donations at the Acacia Mosque in Denver. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Denver, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Acacia Mosque on Tuesday between 10am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Acacia Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I hope life is good to you.

Best of luck, Brooklyn. Your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Palmira

Hang in there. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Denver.

          • Thinking of you and your family, Brooklyn. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
