I coordinate donations at Cedar Refugee Centre in Jinja. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Jinja, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Cedar Refugee Centre on Friday between 10am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Cedar Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

        • Sending strength. Shared this with my family. After 16 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
