I coordinate donations at Cedar Refugee Centre in Detroit. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Detroit, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Cedar Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 11am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Cedar Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Parramatta.
