I coordinate donations at Maple Women's Shelter in Dallas. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Dallas, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Maple Women's Shelter on Monday between 9am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Maple Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Take care, Mia. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Pretoria.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 7 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Anaheim.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
Best of luck. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I'll check back for the next update. God bless!
Wishing you the best, Mia. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Dallas.
Hope things get better soon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from San Jose
