I coordinate donations at Harmony Refugee Centre in Prayagraj. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Prayagraj, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Harmony Refugee Centre on Wednesday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Harmony Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Praying for you, Umesh. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Kilkenny but we're thinking of you. Blessings.

    • thinking of you, Umesh. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.

      • It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Austin so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Prayagraj.

        • A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

          • Rooting for you, Umesh. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. All the best.
