Winter coats and boots for 14 children at Maple Refugee Centre in Austin
A simple way to help: donate warm clothing for kids at Maple Refugee Centre.

I coordinate donations at Maple Refugee Centre in Austin. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Austin, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Maple Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 9am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Maple Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thanks for sharing this, Jaxon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Greetings from Rajshahi.
Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Auckland
Take care, Jaxon. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Kanpur
