William received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A termination letter arrived last week. William needs $3,550 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Malmö.

When the textile factory closed in February, William fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Friday a termination letter was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $3,550.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, the family must leave.
There are a toddler and a baby at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
William has started working two part-time jobs, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $2,300
• Late fees and court costs: $220
• Utilities in arrears: $105
• First month of rent as a buffer: $925

Updates from Maria
Small update. $1,053 so far, we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($485 in total) I met with the landlord and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Keep going, Maria. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless
