Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Jakarta Selatan
Zahra runs a volunteer pantry feeding 288 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 28 families, and now we feed 288 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 37% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta Selatan market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $350 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $165
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140
