Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Dar es Salaam

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 104 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 52% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dar es Salaam market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $200 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $30
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $110

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. baby formula and diapers comes first ($30) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
