Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Coventry
The the Thursday Table pantry in Coventry is running low just as demand rises; $3,000 will stock it for 9 weeks.
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom4,082 views
Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 143 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 32% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Coventry market and keep every receipt.
Each $50 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,900
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $700
• Baby formula and diapers: $290
• Refrigeration and electricity: $110
If you're reading this, thank you.

Updates from Cameron
Thank you all. We're at 54% now ($1,611). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts.

Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Coventry.
Best of luck, Cameron. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
