Weekly meals for neighbors in need in Chiang Mai
Lertchai runs a volunteer pantry feeding 296 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Sunday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 296 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Chiang Mai market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $650 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $350
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $165
• Baby formula and diapers: $100
• Refrigeration and electricity: $35

Small update. $387 so far, the plan for fresh vegetables and fruit is now scheduled.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Lertchai.
Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is $350 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. I'll keep the page updated.
