Weekly meals for families facing hunger in Fresno
Megan runs a volunteer pantry feeding 209 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Friday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 209 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 44% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Fresno market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,850
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,050
• Baby formula and diapers: $340
• Refrigeration and electricity: $210
