Weekly meals for families and seniors in Belfast
The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Belfast is running low just as demand rises; $2,050 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Sunday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 187 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 37% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Belfast market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,150
• Refrigeration and electricity: $330
• Baby formula and diapers: $570
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
