Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Rochester
Anthony runs a volunteer pantry feeding 140 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Tuesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 140 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 35% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rochester market and keep every receipt.
Each $60 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,600
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $780
• Baby formula and diapers: $650
• Refrigeration and electricity: $170
