The storm hit the families of Greenfield Lane on 20 November. My home was one of 82 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $4,350 goes: • Roofing sheets and timber: $1,850 • Tools and labor for repairs: $1,300 • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $880 • Clean water and purification supplies: $320 Every share and every dollar helps. - Jin-woo

  • Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Seoul.

Thank you. If you're in Seoul I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.

  • This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.

More neighborhoods should do this. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless
