I'm Wayne, 18, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study journalism.
I have a top-of-class average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Thanks for being kind about this.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Bangkok
Wishing you the best, Wayne. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Take care.
Hang in there. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. It's not much but it's yours. Blessings.
Thanks for sharing this, Wayne. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Manila
