Waweru was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in December. The oncology team at Mombasa Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Waweru is 57, worked as a bus conductor until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mombasa Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
