Warren winter storm relief - the Hillcrest settlement
Neighbors in the Hillcrest settlement are rebuilding after the winter storm; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The winter storm hit the Hillcrest settlement on 24 August. My home was one of 18 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $8,750 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $3,300
• Clean water and purification supplies: $860
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,050
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,700
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,840
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Warren.
wishing you peace, Walter. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. God bless.
