I coordinate donations at the Unity Community Church in Sacramento. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Sacramento, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Unity Community Church on Sunday between 10am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Unity Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Glad we found this place.

  • Hope it all works out, Rylee. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

    • so sorry you're going through this. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
