I coordinate donations at the Unity Community Church in Birmingham. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Birmingham, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Unity Community Church on Thursday between 10am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Unity Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

So sorry you're going through this. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best
