I coordinate donations at the Sycamore Mosque in Pune. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Pune, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Sycamore Mosque on Thursday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Sycamore Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you for reading my story.

  • rooting for you, Kalyani. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Blessings!

    • Stay strong. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.

      • Hope it all works out, Kalyani. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

        • Take care, Kalyani. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Birmingham so I could bring a meal. Blessings
