Zanzibar City
I coordinate donations at the Maple Family Centre in Zanzibar City. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Zanzibar City, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Maple Family Centre on Sunday between 10am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Maple Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

    • Stay strong. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like

        • Thanks for sharing this, Joseph. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Newcastle.
