I coordinate donations at the Maple Community Church in Springfield. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Springfield, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Maple Community Church on Wednesday between 9am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Maple Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

sending good thoughts, Eli. Hope this works out for you. Don't give up.
Good luck, Eli. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
