I coordinate donations at the Liberty Mosque in Dallas. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Dallas, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Liberty Mosque on Friday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Liberty Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Thinking of you. Hope you get there. Love from Asaba.

    • Sending love. Shared this with my family. I hope March is when things finally get easier. All the best

      • stay strong, Adrian. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.

        • hang in there, Adrian. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

          • stay strong, Adrian. Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.
