I coordinate donations at the Jacaranda Primary School in San Fernando. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in San Fernando, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Jacaranda Primary School on Saturday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Jacaranda Primary School clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Glad we found this place.

  • Keep going, Patricia. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
