Yonkers
I coordinate donations at the Harmony Primary School in Yonkers. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Yonkers, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Harmony Primary School on Wednesday between 11am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Harmony Primary School clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

This is what community support looks like. They didn't just offer generic advice; they provided personalized help tailored to my specific situation.

  • Hope it all works out, Jameson. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
