Warm clothes needed: Sycamore Refugee Centre families in Oakland
A simple way to help: donate warm clothing for kids at Sycamore Refugee Centre.
🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States529 views
I coordinate donations at Sycamore Refugee Centre in Oakland. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Oakland, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Refugee Centre on Wednesday between 9am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.

Hope things get better soon, Quinn. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
