Warm clothes needed: Maple Refugee Centre families in Mérida
Coats, boots, hats and gloves are needed before the first frost.
🇲🇽 Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico1,018 views
I coordinate donations at Maple Refugee Centre in Mérida. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Mérida, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Maple Refugee Centre on Sunday between 11am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Maple Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
