I coordinate donations at Lotus Refugee Centre in Dhaka. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Dhaka, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Lotus Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 9am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Lotus Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Thinking of you and your family, Sathi. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.

    • Hang in there. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Greetings from Mumbai.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Dhaka.
