I coordinate donations at Lotus Refugee Centre in Buenos Aires. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Buenos Aires, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Lotus Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 11am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Lotus Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hope it all works out. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out.
good luck, Andrea. Shared it with a few friends. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.
your post was clear and honest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking!
Wishing you the best, Andrea. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Put this on a community board in Johannesburg this morning. All the best.
