I coordinate donations at Jacaranda Refugee Centre in Buenos Aires. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Buenos Aires, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Jacaranda Refugee Centre on Saturday between 9am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Jacaranda Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

So sorry you're going through this, Hugo. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Santos.

    • Rooting for you, Hugo. Your post was clear and honest. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.

      • A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My neighbor in Palermo donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Palermo.
