Warm clothes needed: Harmony Refugee Centre families in Bakersfield
Coats, boots, hats and gloves are needed before the first frost.
🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States395 views
I coordinate donations at Harmony Refugee Centre in Bakersfield. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Bakersfield, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Harmony Refugee Centre on Wednesday between 9am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Harmony Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.

Sending good thoughts, Doris. Hope this works out for you. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Peoria.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Thinking of Bakersfield.
