I coordinate donations at Baobab Refugee Centre in Ekurhuleni. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Ekurhuleni, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Baobab Refugee Centre on Friday between 11am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Baobab Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Wishing you the best, Yusuf. Your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
Sending love. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Kingston.
