Wanted to borrow: hedge trimmer, Ottawa
I'm building clearing an overgrown plot to grow vegetables and need to borrow a hedge trimmer for a few days. I'll return it clean and on time.

I'm Jacques in Ottawa. I'm clearing an overgrown plot to grow vegetables, and I need a hedge trimmer for a few days. Buying one for a single job doesn't make sense and the rental price is more than I can manage right now.
If you have one gathering dust in the garage, I'd be grateful to borrow it. I'll collect it from you, look after it, clean it and bring it back on the day we agree. I'll leave a deposit if you'd like, and I'm happy to meet somewhere public the first time.
If you could also show me how to use it safely, that would be an extra kindness.
Thank you. I'll give it back as promised.

I have one you can have on loan. Just bring it back clean. Flexible on timing.

My neighbor has one too and says you can borrow it. I will ask her. Happy to chat first.
