Last April I went through a house fire, and I'm now raising a teenage son and a daughter in primary school on my own. I work as a retail cashier, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a web developer in the evenings, which will triple my income by July, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $650 goes:
• Rent top-up: $300
• Childcare and after-school care: $105
• Groceries and school meals: $110
• Course fees and exam costs: $135
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Best of luck, Waleed. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Thinking of 6th of October City
Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
Keep going, Waleed. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings
So sorry you're going through this. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of 6th of October City
Praying for you, Waleed. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
