Volunteers wanted: Wunmi's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Asaba: bring gloves and a rake.
🇳🇬 Asaba, Delta, Nigeria200 views
I'm 81 and I have lived in this house in Asaba for 31 years. After the storm in January, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thank you for reading my story.

Sending love. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Üsküdar so I could bring a meal
Keep going. Hope the doctors have good news. My neighbor in Leeds donated after I showed her your page.
