Volunteers wanted: Tareq's yard after the storm
Tareq, 77, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 77 and I have lived in this house in Madurai for 25 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

You're not alone, Tareq. Shared it with a few friends. All the best
Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Madurai.
wishing you the best, Tareq. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
